Sancerre, a picturesque wine region in France’s Loire Valley, is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blanc wines. Crisp, mineral-driven, and bursting with citrus and floral notes, Sancerre white wines are a favorite among wine lovers seeking elegance and vibrancy. But beyond its famed whites, Sancerre also produces exquisite Sancerre Rosé, crafted primarily from Pinot Noir. With delicate red berry aromas, refreshing acidity, and a dry, sophisticated profile, Sancerre Rosé is a hidden gem that perfectly captures the region’s terroir. We have just added two lovely Sancerres to our portfolio depicting the region perfectly, Comte de la Chevaliere Sancerre Blanc and Rosé.

Comte de la Chevaliere Sancerre Rosé
Reviews
Comte de la Chevaliere Sancerre Rosé is rated 93 points from Wine Enthusiast, Editors Choice with the following review, “This wine wants to show you what a serious, mature rosé can be. The orange-hued wine opens with a complex nose of nectarine, stewed apples, orange marmalade, honeysuckle and dried apricot. Rich and creamy in texture, the wine boasts well-integrated fruit kissed by golden-apple and strawberry puree. Serve with a cheese plate or enjoy by itself.” – Wine Enthusiast. Also rated 92 points from Decanter with the following review, “A fleshy and complex rosé from Sancerre comprised of several different vintages of Pinot Noir, the result is beguiling—slightly orange-hued, with sweet pink roses, candied watermelon and mint aromatics. The palate is lush, fleshy ripe peach and candied apricot flavors are marked with a touch of honeyed fruit, and a touch of compelling herbs and spices carries a savory finish. Delicious.” – Decanter
Tasting Notes
Astonishing non-vintage rosé wine from our Pinot noir, thanks to a well mastered blend, pleasantly joins freshness and maturity. The color is a pretty pale salmon pink shade.
From the first nose the style is given: fruity, liveliness, freshness and intensity, These characters are also encountered on the palate with the crunchiness of the fruit reminiscent of strawberries and apricots, some hints of citrus notes complete this round and tasty palate.
